Okay before I start my rant here two things about me.  My girlfriend and I have 5 children combined so I'm family oriented and I'm customer service oriented.  Two reason I have no desire to ever visit Webster Bank Arena or go to a Fairfield basketball game again.  


When we arrived with 3 of our children in tow I asked one of the security guards where to pick up our will call tickets we had ordered through ticketmaster 3 weeks ago.  I was pointed into a room where we went and waiting in line.  Basically it was a closet with 40 people.  When we got to the front of the line I was told I was in the wrong line and sent out to the box office.  The box office is 5 huge lines outside in the cold with a bunch of drunk college kids.  We were off to a very bad start.  


We finally got to our seats which were front row which was great for the kids.  The arena is clearly a hockey arena first but is servicable for basketball.  Unfortunately security was minimal and there were drunk college kids yelling obscenities right next to the kids all night.  Basically if you wanna go be a drunk moron this is the place for you.  If you want a night out with the family stay away.  It's a shame because Fairfield has built a quality basketball program but based on the venue/crowd/presentation I think they've peaked.  


Highlight of my night was a t-shirt that said "fear the deer".  Fairfields mascot is a stag (male deer).

Made the trip to the Dunkin' Donuts Center for the first time since game #19 (Providence Bruins game).  This was the first time I've seen a basketball game there and I was impressed.  Passionate crowd and a good venue.  Especially for place that's been standing since 1972.  


Big East basketball in Rhode Island for as low as $12 a ticket is a spectacular take.  I got to see a tight ballgame against the #9 team in the country!!!!  Also saw the Big East conference scoring record broken with Marshon Brooks dropping in 52 points.  


I plan on hitting many more Providence hoop games next season and I'm already excited to see the home schedule next year!!!  I wish I had tried them sooner but now I'm hooked.

Took my girlfriend and all five kids to this Ivy League matchup Friday night.  Brown Bears basketball is a great value if you have children.  Kids under 12 are free which means I only needed to my 2 tickets for the 7 of us!!!!

I haven't been to many college basketball games but the thing that really jumped out to me last night was all the alumni for both teams in the stands.  There was a "family divided" their quote in front of us.  Half decked out in Brown gear and half in Penn gear.  During halftime the Penn band played their fight song and I saw at least 3 people 30 plus years out of college singing alone.

The kids were pretty well behaved overall.  Is was the first game for the 3 and 5 year old.  Hoping to bring them to another one in 2 weeks.
